Upcycled Couture: A Story of Transformation

Belle Marcelle is a product of my gypsy path. 

Making use of what already exists and transforming what has been discarded into fashion.

Upcycling is the reuse of reclaimed objects or materials in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original. For me it is about creativity, transformation, and my love for Mother Earth. Belle Marcelle is a one of a kind, unique fashion that does not support mass production and mass consumption. 

Marcelle was my mother who fashioned my baby clothes from my fathers discarded shirts, and sparked my love of sewing at a very young age. All of my creations are made of 100% discarded materials, notions, and thread, many of which are from Marcelle's own stash. Each and every garment that comes out of my studio has a story.
